Claire + Ross at Banking Hall, London
Cinematic London Wedding, where West Africa meets the Scotland and the United States in Central London
⚡️MAKE YOU FEEL MY LOVE⚡️
“When the rain is blowing in your face
And the whole world is on your case
I could offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love” – Adele
Three postponed dates later Clare + Ross finally had their day in London⚡️Loved spending the day with these two 🧡 Clare looking like absolute fire & Ross rocking his families tartan 🔥 Awesome day with the best people ✌️
Claire + Ross found me through instagram, via the wedding arrangers – Claire is an actress and Ross is a cinematographer, they loved my cinematic style and when we met we hit it off straight away. They are a lovely couple, they met when they were shooting in New Orleans – Ross is from the US but with Scottish heritage and Claire is from London with Ghanaian heritage, they’re both Man united fans, which is a bit of a shame 🧡.
Wedding Prep was at Claires sisters house in central London, followed by the ceremony and reception at Banking hall, which was headquarters for Lloyds back in the 1930’s. They had a big red London bus, pick the bridal party up from their respective prep locations on the way to the venue, keeping the groomsmen upstairs out of sight of the bridal party before the ceremony.
Claires dress was stunning, it looked like it was made for her from Pronovias. For the portraits we headed to the nearby Royal Exchange, capturing the beautiful pools of light hitting the buildings, we did the family formals there too however for the evening portraits there was no golden hour and it rained a little so we waited until the street lights had turned on and captured some beautiful shots in the street.
The kids at this wedding were phenomenal, busting out all sorts of break dancing on the dance floor! I loved all the different influences of this wedding, the mix of cultures and traditions was beautiful, although my favourite element had to be the traditional Ghanaian wedding attire, with all of the brightly coloured fabrics.
