Melisa and Chris have had to reschedule their wedding so many times that they decided in the end to elope, to the Lake district for their very own micro-wedding.

The Gilpin is a family run luxury hotel set in the middle of the lake district near Windermere. The Gilpin hotel is the perfect place to get married lake district if you’re looking for elegant surroundings in the country with access to Michelin quality food, a phenomenal woodland spa and stunning secluded views of the lake district.

Melisa and Chris chose to say their vows on the jetty by the lake, with just myself, Gingerbeard Weddings and the registrars there as their witnesses.
